Supreme Court delays on deciding whether to hear same-sex marriage case

For the second time in two weeks, the Supreme Court declined to decide whether or not it is going to hear a case on same-sex marriage in 2013.

Well, they didn’t say anything much of anything publicly about the subject today, actually. They could come out on Monday morning and reveal that they are hearing a DOMA case, or maybe one on Prop 8 (but probably DOMA).

Or they could say that they have decided not to decide the issue at all and to leave the law to develop through other means for a while longer, like in state legislatures. We know how good most states have been on this issue so far.

Anyway, we should have an answer as to whether the Court will rule on the issue within the next couple of weeks. It won’t be long now.
